Oslo og Lindberg

This blog of mine will be in english. The reason is simple. I do not have a computer here in Oslo wich supports the icelandic alphabet.

I came here to Oslo last wednesday and on thursday and friday I went to see Christian Lindberg play Turnage's Yet Another Set with the Oslo Philharmonic. Lindberg was on fire both nights and I have not seen him as impressive ever before, and I have seen him pretty amazing before.

The first three nights in Oslo I was crashing with Sebastien, a old friend from Sweden. He is an exchange student here in Oslo. It has been very nice to spend some time with him. We are so alike. Now I am though crashing with Tine, danish clarinett player I met in Lund year ago. Also an exchange student. Sebastien had to go to Stockholm to sort out some stuff regarding his apartment there.

Tine is actually not sleeping here. She only has one bed so she is letting me use that bed and she is crashing with her friend wich lives close to her place. It is nice to get a moment for myself. It is strange when you are used to allways sleep alone to be all of a sudden having to think about someone else. So now I am releived. I can do whatever I want.

Tomorrow I migh get a lesson from Aline Nystad, the principal trombone player of the Oslo Philharmonic. I just got her reply today. She has been quite busy. Ingemar Roos unfortunately didn't have anytime to give me a lesson. He just arrived here this morning at10:30 and was gone at 14:30. He lives in Gothenburg.

I'll return to Amsterdam on monday evening and on tuesday I have lesson with Ivan. This trip has been fantástic. I am really impressed by the faciliies of the Music Academy here. It is so much better than in Amsterdam. The standard of living here in Oslo is also higher than I am used too, even compared to Iceland. If it wasn't so cold it would be heaven. It is also fucking expensive. But that is ok.

I am getting pretty tired now. I woke up quite early and went late to bed yesterday. I'll try to find some film to watch on the internet and then I will go to bed.
